Territories

Some events have Territories — circular zones on the map that your team can capture and hold. While you control a territory, it generates points for you every minute or so. If a rival team walks in and tries to take it, the two of you are pulled into a quick minigame to decide who keeps it.

Territories appear as two concentric circles on the map.

  • The inner circle is the capture zone — you must physically stand inside it to take the territory.
  • The outer circle is the influence zone — any nearby challenges belong to this territory.

The circles are color-coded by ownership:

LookMeaning
GrayNobody owns it yet. Walk in and capture it.
Your team’s colorYour team owns it. It’s generating points for you.
Another team’s colorA rival team owns it. Walk in to start a fight.
Pulsing / animatedThe territory is being contested right now.

The name of the territory (like Plaza Real or Territorio 3) appears in the center.

  1. Walk into the inner circle.
  2. A capture progress bar appears on your screen.
  3. Keep standing inside the circle. The bar fills up over a few seconds (the organizer decides the exact time).
  4. When the bar fills, the territory is yours. Its color flips to your team’s color.

Stay inside. If you leave the inner circle before the bar fills, your progress resets to zero.

Teammates help. If other teams from your alliance are inside the circle with you, the bar fills faster. Two allied teams together capture twice as fast; three, three times as fast.

Once you own a territory, it generates points for your team automatically. The organizer sets:

  • How many points per tick (anywhere from 1 to 1000)
  • How often the tick fires (every 10 seconds up to once an hour — usually around once per minute)

You don’t need to stay inside. The points come in even if your team is somewhere else on the map. Your live ranking score goes up each tick.

If a rival team walks into a territory you own, the system pulls both teams into a fight. A popup appears on both phones:

Team Blue is challenging your territory. Accept the fight? — Accept / Decline

You have 60 seconds to accept. Declining (or ignoring it) counts as a forfeit and the rival takes the territory automatically.

If both teams accept, you play a random minigame to decide the winner. There are three possible games:

Classic. Best of 3 rounds. You have 10 seconds each round to tap rock, paper, or scissors. First team to win 2 rounds takes the territory.

A 60-second tap battle. Both teams tap a button as fast as they can. Most taps at the end wins. If it’s a tie, the defender keeps the territory.

A two-phase game on a 4×4 board:

  1. Placement (15 seconds) — Hide 2 bombs on your own board, wherever you want.
  2. Picking (alternating turns, 10 seconds each) — Take turns tapping tiles on the opponent’s board. If you hit a bomb, you lose.

The team that survives without stepping on a bomb wins the territory.

Some events let captured territories be recaptured. After a fight ends, the winning team holds the territory for a short cool-down period before anyone can challenge them again. During the cooldown, the territory is locked — you can stand in it, but nothing happens.

In other events the organizer turns recapture off entirely. In those, whoever captures a territory first owns it for the rest of the event.

  • Watch the map. Owned territories pulse subtly in their owner’s color. If you see one in your color flicker or change, someone is contesting it — head over to defend.
  • Bring allies. Capturing alone takes the full time. Bringing alliance teammates speeds it up dramatically.
  • Don’t camp. You don’t need to stand inside to keep the points coming. Once it’s yours, you can move on and capture more.
  • Pick your fights. A territory with high points and high frequency is worth a fight. A small slow one might not be worth the trip.
